This will be Temple University’s first Hackathon. Students and sponsors from around the Philadelphia area will gather in the name of STEM. Students will spend 12 hours working in teams or individually to create personal projects or compete for sponsored prizes. Sponsors will be able to provide a prize for a winning “hack”, which is a project that a team of students will work on during the hackathon. There will be multiple prizes that are presented during the closing ceremonies including company-sponsored prizes as well as CST department-funded prizes.
Sponsors will host workshops to engage student in an educational environment. Sponsors will be able to connect and network with all students present at the event. This event will make Temple students more marketable in the job hunt, raise Temple’s standing with local tech companies, and engage with other local universities.

Best Overall Hack
This prize is for the best of the best. $400 in Amazon gift cards will be awarded.
Best Social Good Hack
This goes to the best hack that helps humanity. $200 in Amazon gift cards will be awarded.
Best Health Hack
This is for the best health/health care hack. $200 in Amazon gift cards will be awarded.
Best Educational Hack
This is for the best educational hack. $200 in Amazon gift cards will be awarded.
IEEE CySec-Dojo 2019

Lockheed Martin Best First Time Hack
This prize goes to the best hack with at least one first hacker. 5 Echo dots will be awarded
Submitting to this hackathon could earn you:
- Must be 18 or over
- Must have a University/College ID
- Must comply to MLH code of conduct
- Maximun 5 people per team
